Brand partnerships
Audience fit and verifiable delivery matter more than a logo placement. Sponsorship, endorsement and deeper partnerships differ. Values, deliverables, exclusivity, usage permissions and honest reporting belong in the brief. Historical sponsorship percentages stay historical unless a dated primary source updates them.
Affected roles
Implications
- Reach is not the same as participation or sales, and causation is often uncertain.
- Exclusivity and usage windows have costs.
- Paid-relationship disclosure is part of integrity, not optional decoration.
Practical actions
- Write a one-page brief: audience fit, deliverables, exclusions, approvals.
- List what evidence you can actually produce after the campaign.
- Check likeness, music and artwork permissions for the proposed use.
